EMI Music subsidiary Priority Records has now tapped Snoop Dogg as a 'creative chairman,' according to information confirmed Tuesday by the label. The Doggfather will also deliver a new studio album to Priority, slated for delivery in December. That release, currently titled Malice N Wonderland, will be the tenth studio album from the rapper.
Snoop Dogg is being tapped to help revive the Priority name, previously absorbed into the larger Capitol brand. EMI Music purchased the entity in the late-90s, and eventually blended it into its larger operation. The revitalization effort comes just ahead of Priority's 25th anniversary, and that means re-releases from N.W.A, Eazy-E, Master P, Ice Cube, Westside Connection, EPMD, and Snoop himself.
